Handmade Copper Journals – Wow

You’ve GOT to check out the Handmade Copper Journals from the Forgotten Toy Box. They have a “Wow!” factor of ten – LOL. From the website: Journals are “made from 18-gauge solid copper plates. The design are assembled, collage style, using various art sources including hand-drawn detailing. Each book is then etched in an acid bath to give the design a dimensional, textural quality. Covers are hand patinaed to give the design contrast, then clear-coated for protection from the elements. The interiors and back covers are hand burnished with a swirl design, and the book is hand sewn with four needles using black or eggplant waxed irish linen thread and aged copper eyelets.” It just warms the cockles of my heart when I find cool stuff like this. 🙂
