First, I’d like to thank rws for reminding me of something that I’d been wanting to do for a long time – art projects that are similar in style to those of M.C. Escher (also referred to as ‘tessellations’, I believe). This is my first design of Celtic Knotwork and interlocking pieces (shown left on a thrown pillow – click on the pillow to see the design on t-shirts, sweatshirts, cards, too – the usual). I wanted to make it look sort of distressed, and it also seemed to come out looking like a linoleum block print, in a way. Anyway, I’ve got a lot more to learn about how to do these things, but at least it’s a start! (An archival print of this will also be available soon here, and you can send this design as a free ecard here.)
