Ewwww…. nothing like driving along a scenic country vista and having to swerve around the mangled body of a wild boar road kill. Luckily, we have plenty of crows and vultures in the area, and even California Condors are close by at Pinnacles National Monument. I hope nature takes its course QUICKLY though – it’s not a pretty site.

On the plus side, our stream is now flowing along VERY nicely, like it hasn’t in a while. The storm surge has abated and the water has turned from milk-and-coffee brown to clear. It’s the perfect environment to make little dams and channels with rocks and gravel. (That ALMOST rhymes – LOL.)
