I was writing an email to a friend about the frost that appears on the tops of fences and the hitching post out here when it dips below freezing… when it occurred to me that not many people can say that they have a genuine, olde-tyme hitching post in their yard! It’s sturdy enough for an adult-sized person to actually walk on without wobbling (as tom has demonstrated) – made out of hefty 4x4s, I believe. The edges are somewhat rounded by weather and horse nibbles, no doubt (like certain corners of our house and fence from the previous resident who had a horse – LOL.) Anyway, that’s all I had to say about it – it exists and isn’t it cool. *grin*
