The internal temperature on our thermometer read 93, while the external temperature, in the direct sun, read 133 degrees. News says that it was about 103 today in the nearby town, which is always a bit cooler than up here further in the hills. Needless to say, it was DAMN HOT today – hot, dry, wind blowing in whenever I’m stupid enough to open the window in the air stream and check. (Never has a cold shower felt soooo good.) I’m still not sure why our black lab decided that she wanted to lay OUTSIDE in the middle of the day, in the direct sun – I didn’t let her stay there. I think she might have spontaneously combusted.
